Biography

Dr. Murdock received her Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice from East Carolina University in 2020. Prior to this she received a MSN as an Acute Care CNS & BSN from the University of Virginia (1993, 1992), and an associates (AAS) degree from Piedmont Virginia Community College (1986). She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. In addition, she is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Certified Dementia Provider. As a certified dementia provider, Dr. Murdock demonstrates achievement and specialized training in the areas of Alzheimer's and dementia care. She optimizes medications and treatments for those suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's to maximize their quality of life.

In addition, as a certified Evexipel® provider, she is extensively trained in hormone optimization and thrives on assisting patients to feel their best and live their best life.

She has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Lecturer at Valdosta State University. She is published and is a national and international presenter on topics of interest to nurse practitioners. A registered nurse since 1986, she has experience in Intensive Care, Emergency Nursing and Women and Children's.

Her patients have found her to be kind and compassionate with a passion for disease prevention. She enjoys spending time with her three sons of whom she is very proud. She enjoys everything outdoors including hiking and fishing along with music and her dogs.
